Asian Coleslaw

1 package carrot, shredded
1/4 cup salt
4 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon Tabasco (optional)
1 package cabbage, shredded
1/2 cup vinegar
4 tablespoons sesame oil

Place shredded cabbage into a colander and add about 1/4 cup salt. Let stand and drain for 3 hours. Rinse salt off and let cabbage drain. Mix with rest of the ingredients and refrigerate for 2 days, mixing everything up to three times a day.
