
Fried Polenta
polenta
salt to taste
butter or olive oil
Prepare firm polenta according to package directions (typically 4 cups water to 1 cup polenta for firm polenta, and 6 cups water to 1 cup polenta for wetter polenta). Spread polenta into a greased baking dish and let cool for a few hours. Cut cooled polenta into strips and fry in butter or olive oil over medium high heat until brown.
This makes an excellent side dish. |
